Discount codes
Codes live inside FMS, not in Stripe, so one code works across every payment account.
Creating or changing a code needs the Finance, Membership manager or Owner role.

Create a code
- Press New code. Type the code members will enter (1), and a description for your own reference.

- Choose whether the discount applies once or on every renewal.

- Optionally set the dates it is valid between, a maximum number of redemptions, and which plans it applies to. Then save.
Once, or forever
This is the decision that matters.
| Span | What the member gets | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Once | Money off the first payment only. Renewals are full price. | Campaigns, launch offers. |
| Every renewal | The discounted price for as long as they stay. | Partner rates, staff rates. |
Pick the span carefully
An "every renewal" code is a permanent price change for everyone who redeems it. You cannot retroactively convert it to a one-off.
A link that fills the code in
Add &code= and the code to a plan's checkout address, for example …/checkout?plan=…&code=WELCOMEBACK. Checkout opens with the code applied, even when the member has to sign in first. FMS still checks the code as if they had typed it. This is how the win-back campaign links work.
New members only
A code with New members only (never paid before) ticked refuses anyone who has paid before. Untick it for a code meant to bring members back.
New members only and One use per member are checked against the member who is signed in. Someone who is not signed in sees the code accepted, and the rule is applied when they sign in and pay. Checkout never tells anyone whether another email address has paid. Since 25 October 2026.
Redemption caps
Set Maximum redemptions and the code stops working after that many uses. The count is taken at the moment of redemption, so two people checking out at once cannot both take the last one.
A member whose bank asks them to confirm the payment (3-D Secure) keeps their use while they do. It is given back only if the payment fails, or if Stripe gives up waiting, about a day later. Since 25 October 2026.
Turning a code off
Codes are deactivated, never deleted, because past redemptions are part of the billing record. Deactivating stops new redemptions. It does not change anyone who already used it.
Seeing who used a code
Press Redemptions on the code's row for the list of accepted uses. Each use shows its amounts in the currency it was charged in: a code used on a baht payment through Opn shows baht.
The codes list and the redemptions list both show ten rows a page. Use the arrows and page numbers under a list, or choose more under Rows per page.
